Cigar Humidor

Generations ago, cigar manufacturers began shipping cigars in tin-lined or cedar boxes to insure that the cigars would reach market in good condition. From a means of preservation and transportation, the cigar humidor has become as integral to the quality of a good cigar as the quality of the tobacco leaves!

Cigars, like fine wine, improve with age. Most cigar aficionados would agree that a premium cigar should be aged for three to six months at a minimum. The cigar’s wine cellar is called a humidor. When properly stored in a cigar humidor, cigars can reach peak smoking conditions anywhere from six months to two to three years.

A cigar humidor is a container designed for storing cigars or other tobacco products at a constant level of humidity. Designed to effectively deal with two opposing forces (the retention of humidity and the prevention of mould growth), a well-sealed standard wood cigar humidor will provide an environment that will hold humidity well while guaranteeing a natural degree of humidity "bleed-through".

To keep cigars fresh over an extended period of time, a good cigar humidor is an absolute must. Humidors and humidor kits (including the any humidor accessory you may require) come in all shapes and sizes from desk top boxes that hold a few cigars to walk in storage closets that will hold hundreds
